Who we are
About the farm
The farm is run by Niall and Juana Matthews, who are responsible for the management and development of the enterprise. Like many Irish family farms, we combine practical daily farming with longer-term planning, animal care and land management.
Our days follow the rhythm every dairy farmer knows: the herd is milked, fed and checked, pasture and housing are managed with the seasons, and the yard, machinery and records are kept in order.

Healthy animals
Animal welfare is part of every day’s work. Regular observation helps identify health and production issues early.
Grassland first
Grassland is the central resource for dairy farming in Ireland. Pasture is managed to meet the nutritional needs of the herd through the grazing season.
Consistent standards
Maintaining consistent routines and standards — in milking, hygiene and record keeping — is central to how we approach dairy production.
